Magic Lite Celebrates 25 Years in Business!

How time flies! On June 30th 2010, Magic Lite completed its 25th year in business. As we look back at the past quarter century it is simply amazing to see the changes that have taken place. 25 years ago fax machines were just coming into vogue for small businesses and the internet was non-existent as a business tool. Incandescent Ropelite was a hot item and MR16s were about to explode into our lives.

Today’s lighting market is changing more rapidly than ever before with an incredible array of new products introduced every day. LED products have inundated the lighting scene and who knows what is coming around the corner. Magic Lite is proud of our success over the past 25 years and with many new product launches planned in the coming months, we are excited about our future.

Most importantly, we take pride in the relationships that we share with our customers, whether you are one of our stocking distributors, specifiers, sales agent or contractors, we are grateful for the support that has allowed us to grow and build our businesses together. We recently introduced the powerful, outdoor rated Tokilum by Tokistar and this product has become very popular for building accent lighting as well as cove lighting. Tokistar USA are just in the process of doing a large roll-out with Chase Bank. This application produces a very strong corporate image for the bank with a distinctive soft blue border that is very pleasing to the eye. This type of effect is extremely powerful in producing a very high profile look on any building enhancing corporate identity. Tokilum utilizes special .48W LED modules completely sealed against the environment, mounted on a flexible cable. It operates on a safe 6VDC and comes in standard 2” or 4” spacing. Magic Lite LED Surface Star and Micro LED Light Cable Enhance Image of Campus Estate Mall – Guelph, Ontario

LED Surface Star consumes just 1.2 watts of power and provides excellent accent lighting on the exterior of this shopping mall in Guelph, Ontario. The owners wanted something that would accent the building with a low maintenance and power consumption factor. LED Surface Star provided the answer. The fixtures were mounted under the soffit providing an attractive scalloping light effect. In addition, our Micro LED Light Cable was also incorporated into vertical columns providing a warm glow of light behind each column. Magic Lite Products Help Make Hamilton’s New VIVA Nightclub A New Hot Spot

The owners of the newly opened VIVA night club in Hamilton wanted a unique look while respecting a reasonable budget. Interior Designer Sheri Crawford of SLC Design turned to Magic Lite for lighting products that would produce the WOW effect when combined with her creative talents. The results are quite impressive.

Tokistar Tape Light with blue TokiLEDs was used in this ceiling to produce an attractive grid of light. The bar in the background is lit with our blue Micro LED Light Cable behind frosted glass panels.
Micro LED was also incorporated into square acrylic tables producing a very unique effect.
Micro LED Light Cable was also placed behind this hand rail in the staircase to provide safe, simple illumination.
And finally, our LED Shelf Stars were used to light the liquor shelves behind the bar.
